Spring of 2018 a team of research scientists left Earth to explore the reaches of time and space. Doctor Reed Richards, his fiancé Sue Storm, brother-in-law to be Johnny Storm, and his lifelong best friend Ben Grimm left Earth as it experienced one if its most devastating disasters, “the snap”. Unaware of the events taking place on Earth, the team is stranded in space for five years. Seeking refuge on a dormant planet and sending out distress signals became a tedious task. The team decides to bring themselves home after years of trying to contact Earth. Back on Earth Bruce Banner is about to reverse the events of “the snap” and bring back the half of the world’s population that disappeared five years prior. Simultaneously, the team of researchers stranded in space are blasted with cosmic rays upon their reentry into Earth’s atmosphere. The team’s spacecraft crash-lands in the hidden nation of Wakanda, and the researchers escape seemingly unharmed much to the surprise of the Wakandan people. However, although the team is alive they are not unchanged.
