John Matherson is a single father of ten who spends much of his free time drinking at bars, with his oldest son John Jr. who is singer of Rock Band. The Matherson children -- led by the sixth son Winston and his younger sister Megan, who takes on much of the older and younger sibling-rearing responsibility due to his father's absence -- manage to raise themselves in spite of John' lack of parenting and unusual parenting style when he does choose to act like a father.
