Akio Ōtsuka (born November 24, 1959) is a legendary Japanese voice actor (seiyuu) and narrator whose deep, resonant bass voice has made him one of the most recognizable figures in the global entertainment industry. Associated with Mausu Promotion, he is best known as the iconic voice of Solid Snake and Big Boss in the Metal Gear series, as well as the title character in Osamu Tezuka's Black Jack. His extensive filmography includes definitive roles such as Batou in Ghost in the Shell, Shunsui Kyōraku in Bleach, Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard) in One Piece, and All For One in My Hero Academia.
