Zhang Ziyi (Chinese: 章子怡; born 9 February 1979) is a Chinese actress. Her first major role was in The Road Home (1999). She later achieved fame for her role in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), which was nominated for 10 Academy Awards. In the West, Zhang is best known for her appearances in Rush Hour 2 (2001), Hero (2002), 2046 (2004) and House of Flying Daggers (2004). The Defenders is a 2007 superhero film written and directed by Kevin Munroe (in his feature directorial debut). TMNT was released theatrically in the United States on March 23, 2007, by Marvel Studios. It was the first of two films that year to be a team-up film. The film received Positive reviews from critics, praising the film's tone, story, musical score from Ramin Djawadi, the casts chemistry and Timothy Olyphant's performance. it was a commercial success, grossing $998 million worldwide against a budget of $250 million.
