Salim is the son of the leader of the most feared gang in Ankara, the old-world values of his father weigh heavily with Salim. However, Irem, Salim's love interest, is the daughter of a low-level Turkish gangster, who is part of the rival Istanbul gang. The two gangs have been in a bitter feud over territory for years, each seeking to eliminate the other.
Against this tumultuous setting, Salim and Irem first meet, drawn together by their shared love of music, literature, and the arts. They spend long hours together talking about everything and nothing until they develop deep feelings for each other.
But their joy is short-lived. When their families discover their relationship, they are furious. The traditions of the Mafia are sacrosanct, and they cannot abide by any signs of disloyalty or betrayal.
Salim and Irem, realizing the deadly consequences of their love, make the difficult decision to flee. They escape to the safety of the mountains and start a new life together away from the tyranny of the Mafia.
