Longclaw had visited Angel Island before during the Great War. She was lost on patrol one day and she ended up in a village of Echidnas. Locke was her best friend there. In fact, before Jules and Aleena had Sonic, Longclaw visited Angel Island when Knuckles was born! She had an instinct to go back to Angel Island to help Sonic and Tails. She also saw Knuckles again after so long. Now Knuckles knows Sonic is on his side because he's the adoptive son of Longclaw.
