Robotnik has suffered his Little Planet plot's failure as he was hammered all the way to the other side of Mobius and landed on the abandoned government facility known as Prison Island. The island belongs to the United Federation's team of agents known as Guardian Unit of Nations, or G.U.N., where inside it's lowest floor is a highly-guarded, top secret black site project made by Robotnik's own grandfathr Professor Gerald Robotnik! Once he effortlessly went in there, he opened a large compartment showing Gerald's ultimate creation: a black and red hedgehog called Shadow.
