At the end, Sonic, Amy, Tails and Longclaw leave Little Planet and regroup with Knuckles, and the Chaotix, who Knuckles gives a large meet-and-greet for. Knuckles only wanted to guard the Master Emerald because it could fall in the wrong hands, and the events of Dawn of Sonic & Knuckles and the Chaotix series is proof. But sadly, he has no home, since Angel Island is 5,000 miles in the water. That's when the Chaotix gave him a home with them at the end of the series.
