Before she was born, her parents, close friends of Longclaw like Sonic's parents, lived on Christmas Island and evacuated to Little Planet when Robotnik attacked. Two years after the attack, they had her. They were the only hedgehogs on Little Planet. When she was old enough, her parents left Little Planet to see if Christmas Island was safe once again. When Amy heard about Sonic, she thought of him as a spark of hope and freedom in times of darkness. When they met, Amy's dreams have come true! Sure, she chased him a bit, and hugged him too tightly, but she does what she can to help the hero of her dreams beat Robotnik from taking over Little Planet.
