A scientist for Daggett Industries armed with a weaponized freezing suit after a lab accident rendered him unable to live outside of sub-zero temperatures. Following an encounter with Batman, Fries entered a cryogenic coma. His body was preserved by Daggett Industries but as the years passed, it slowly deteriorated due to his condition. During Bane's takeover of Gotham, he took interest in Fries and had a new suit built for his awakening.
