Tyler Bates (born June 5, 1965) is an American musician, music producer, and composer of film, television, and video game scores. Much of his work is in the action and horror film genres, with films like Dawn of the Dead, 300, Sucker Punch, Halloween and Halloween II and the John Wick franchise. He has collaborated with directors like Zack Snyder, Rob Zombie, Gennady Tartakovsky, Neil Marshall, William Friedkin, Scott Derrickson, James Gunn, Chad Stahelski and David Leitch. In addition, he is the lead guitarist of the American rock band Marilyn Manson and produced his albums The Pale Emperor, Heaven Upside Down and One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1. The Crimson Huntress is a 2027 American vigilante action thriller film written and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh and produced by Zack Snyder and Chad Stahelski from a story by Antoine Fuqua. It is the first installment in the Crimson Huntress franchise. The film stars Cara Delevingne alongside Thandiwe Newton, Isabella Sermon, Andrew Lincoln, 50 Cent, Lucas Black, Josh Hartnett, Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Woods. In the film, a former US government espionage assassin embarks on a self-employed mission to save a girl from a human trafficking ring in Kansas City. The Crimson Huntress opened in theaters on November 25th, 2027; the film received generally positive reviews and was a financial success, grossing $883 million worldwide. Delevingne's performance and the action sequences were widely acclaimed, while its graphic violence and portrayal of trafficking received controversy. Audience reception was significantly more positive, particularly for the character development (especially Delevingne) and for its emphasis on storytelling and spreading awareness.
