The film stars Cara Delevingne alongside Thandiwe Newton, Isabella Sermon, Andrew Lincoln, 50 Cent, Lucas Black, Josh Hartnett, Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Woods. In the film, a former US government espionage assassin embarks on a self-employed mission to save a girl from a human trafficking ring in Kansas City. The Crimson Huntress opened in theaters on November 25th, 2027; the film received generally positive reviews and was a financial success, grossing $883 million worldwide. Delevingne's performance and the action sequences were widely acclaimed, while its graphic violence and portrayal of trafficking received controversy. Audience reception was significantly more positive, particularly for the character development (especially Delevingne) and for its emphasis on storytelling and spreading awareness. A sequel is in development.
