The Chronicles of Mister Wolf is a 2024 American action film directed by David Twohy and produced by Guillermo del Toro from story by him and Twohy. It is a sequel to the 2022 film The Howling Death and is the second installment in the Chronicles of Mister Wolf film series. The film stars Alexander Skarsgård, Emma Stone, John Krasinski, Tyrese Gibson, Sigourney Weaver and Laurence Fishburne reprising their roles from the first film, alongside Stellan Skarsgård, Tom Hardy, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carrie-Anne Moss, and John Glover. The Chronicles of Mister Wolf was released on January 2nd, 2024; it received generally positive reviews from critics, with praise for Twohy's direction, action sequences, musical score, and the cast performances (particularly from Skarsgård, Stone, Krasinski, Gibson, Hardy, Weaver and Fishburne), while others criticized its tone, script, and graphic violence. The film grossed over $817 million against a budget of $171 million, and became a financial success. A sequel entitled The Phantom's Edge was released 2 years later.
