Jason Isaacs (born 6 June 1963) is an English actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Colonel William Tavington in The Patriot (2000), Michael D. Steele in Black Hawk Down (2001), Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise series (2002–2011), Captain Hook in Peter Pan (2003), James Wolfe in Battle of the Brave (2004), Antonio Pérez in The Escorial Conspiracy (2007), Georgy Zhukov in The Death of Stalin (2017), and John Godfrey in Operation Mincemeat (2021). His television roles include Dr. Hunter Aloysius "Hap" Percy in the Netflix supernatural mystery drama streaming series The OA (2016–2019) and Captain Gabriel Lorca in Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2018). His voice acting roles include Admiral Zhao in the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005) and the second season of The Legend of Korra (2013), and the Grand Inquisitor/Sentinel in Star Wars Rebels (2014–2016). Batman discovers he has a son, Damian Wayne, with Talia al Ghul, who was raised by the League of Assassins. The film sees Damian, trained as a killer, arriving in Gotham and struggling to connect with his father due to their clashing personalities and values. The plot thickens when Deathstroke, seeking revenge against Ra's al Ghul, attacks the League and Talia sends Damian to Batman. Damian's recklessness and willingness to kill lead to conflict with Batman and the Bat-family, but they eventually unite to fight Deathstroke and his Man-Bat commandos. The movie culminates in a battle where Deathstroke kills Talia, and Batman must use the Lazarus Pit to save her.
