The Bounty of Ryder Part III: Blood or High Honor is a 2027 American Western action film written, co-produced, and directed by Rian Johnson. Produced by Legendary Pictures and The Stone Quarry and distributed by Lionsgate Films, it is the third installment in the Chronicles of Charlotte Ryder film series, the third chronologically, and a direct sequel to The Bounty of Ryder. The film stars Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Charley Ryder alongside Piper Rubio, Elijah Wood, Kevin Costner, Ewan McGregor, Matthew McConaughey, Andrew Garfield, Christopher Judge, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Samuel L. Jackson. In the film, Charley Ryder encounters a recently orphaned ten-year-old girl on the brink of freezing to death, and decides to take the child in her own care when she realizes that she is in greater danger than the cold. The Bounty of Ryder Part III: Blood or High Honor was released in theaters on March 8th, 2027; it grossed over $916 million at the global box-office, becoming the second-highest-grossing film of the series. The film received universal acclaim, with praise for the visuals, Johnson's direction, the action sequences, Hans Zimmer's musical score, and Armstrong's performance. It was widely considered to be the best of the series, as it was noted for Charley's newfound life as a bounty hunter. A sequel entitled The Bounty of Ryder Part IV: Road of Redemption was released many months later as a back-to-back follow-up.
