Kaan Soykan was adopted as an infant from an orphanage in Ethiopia by the Soykan family, owners of a global shipping empire. Growing up as the only Black face in the elite circles of Nişantaşı, Kaan has spent his life being "the perfect son" to prove he belongs.
Everything changes when he meets Lale, a brilliant architect. Their connection is instant and soul-deep, but it carries a dangerous secret: Lale is the daughter of the Karatay family—the Soykans' bitterest enemies for three generations. As Kaan navigates his identity as a Black Turk in a world of old-money prejudice, he must decide if love is worth tearing down the empire that raised him.
