Amandla Stenberg (born October 23, 1998) is an American actress. She began her career as a child and received recognition for playing Rue in the action film The Hunger Games (2012). As she grew older, she appeared in the supernatural series Sleepy Hollow (2013–2014) and the romance film Everything, Everything (2017). She received praise for her performance as a teenager witnessing a police shooting in the drama film The Hate U Give (2018). She then starred in the comedy horror film Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022) and the Star Wars series The Acolyte (2024). Outside of acting, Stenberg made her musical debut in 2015, performing as part of the folk-rock duo Honeywater and performing the song "Let My Baby Stay" for Everything, Everything. She is also noted for her activism towards LGBTQ youth and was included on Time's lists of the most influential teens in 2015 and 2016. A story in 2009, of 4 high school students who have never met discovered ancient books from a man of the '60s which somehow created a world beneath there's filled with the author's beasts and tales which will soon come on to this world and take over this brings the 4 teens together, Ethan Ardreen a geek trying to be perfect, Izzy Kensington-Reeds childhood friend of Ethan who is extremely shy and lonely and has a crush on him, Faith Thunder mysterious girl who is secretly a talented swordsman and Lucy September a rich, snobby girl who tries to not act like a spoiled brat and spends money on charity to save the world may be, more than once. Halfway through the story Ethan's brother (Tommy) finds out and starts to help, Tommy works at a comic book store and has a crush on a girl called Chloe Mao. In the last season, they have become mightier than before. The villain is Oliver Hartford the nephew of the author whose mother died so his uncle wrote a short novel about her as a hero, when he heard that the books are coming to the surface he believes his mother will be alive again.
