Joanna Bennett is an American stunt performer and actress. She began her journey into stunt work through her background in gymnastics, having earned a scholarship to the University of California, Berkeley. Her entry into the industry was facilitated by a casting call for gymnasts to double in the television series Make It or Break It, which ignited her passion for stunt performance. Despite initial challenges in securing consistent work, her perseverance and dedication to mastering various disciplines, including boxing, judo, and jiu-jitsu, propelled her career forward. Bennett's extensive filmography includes doubling for prominent actresses such as Brie Larson in Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame, Amber Heard and Nicole Kidman in Aquaman, and Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman and Justice League. Her versatility extends to motion capture work, notably for Evangeline Lilly in Ant-Man and the Wasp. In addition to her stunt work, she portrayed the Tusken Warrior in the Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett. Her skills have been recognized with several accolades, including the 2019 Taurus World Stunt Award for Best Overall Stunt by a Stunt Woman for her performance in Aquaman.
