Despite his relentless efforts, the city’s criminal underworld flourishes, led by the ever-volatile Joker and his psychotic accomplice, Harley Quinn. This fateful decision leads to a brutal encounter, resulting in Jason’s tragic death at the hands of the Joker and Harley, shattering Bruce’s world. Consumed by guilt and rage, Bruce finds himself spiraling into darkness. The devastation culminates at Jason’s funeral, attended by Alfred and Barbara Gordon, where they all mourn the loss of a vibrant life extinguished too soon. In his despair, Alfred reaches out to Dick Grayson, urging him to return to Gotham to help pull Bruce back from the brink.
