The film opens with Batman chasing Catwoman around Gotham after a break-in at the Gotham museum of art. The chase ends with Batman handing her over to the police. Batman is in his third year crime fighting, some people consider him a hero, some a vigilante and some people even think he is a urban myth. Fact is, that since his arrival, Gotham has been a much more safer city as he cleaned up the streets from the major criminal organizations such as the Falcones, the Maronis, the Red Hood Gang and crazy criminals such as the likes of Joker, Scarecrow, Bane and Penguin. But Batman hasn't faced his greatest challenge yet: Edward Nygma, the Riddler, a criminal that has an obsession with puzzles, riddles and word games. As Batman fails to stop him, he takes control of Gotham, causing it to become a flooded wasteland where only the intelligent are meant to survive. Batman will now have to reconquer the city by overcoming the riddles and deadly traps of Nygma, but he will not be alone in this, as he will be helped by Catwoman and a young boy named Jason Todd.
