Sterling Kelby Brown (born April 5, 1976) is an American actor. Known for his leading roles on stage and screen, he has received numerous accolades, including three Primetime Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and a nomination for an Academy Award. He was included in Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018. Brown portrayed Christopher Darden in the FXlimited series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story (2016), which earned the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie. For his role as Randall Pearson in the NBC drama series This Is Us (2016–2022), he earned the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He was further Emmy-nominated for his comedic roles in the Fox Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2018) and the Amazon Prime comedy series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2019). For his role in American Fiction (2023), he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Brown is also known for his leading roles in films such as Hotel Artemis (2019), Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul. (2022), and Biosphere (2023) as well as supporting roles in Marshall (2017), Black Panther (2018), and Waves (2019). The outspoken detective Dick Grayson is attacked by several thugs, all hired by Carmine Falcone. Fortunately, Batman is in the area and arrives to help. When the young detective is wounded, Alfred speaks with Bruce through comms and convinces him to bring Dick to the Batcave. Meanwhile, Vicki Vale begins putting Bruce and Batman’s appearances and disappearances together. Dick is healed in the Batcave, and an alliance begins to form between him and Gotham’s vigilante. The episode closes with Edward Nashton, The Riddler’s secret identity, meeting with someone in a dark alleyway. The man scolds Nashton for his compulsion to leave riddles at his crime scenes, but Nashton insists it’s part of a bigger picture. We soon realize the man is none other than Batman’s ally, District Attorney Harvey Dent.
