Selina Kyle and her sister Maggie were raised by an alcoholic, abusive father who mistreated their mother. After their mother committed suicide and their father died of alcohol poisoning, Selina strove to survive on her own. She took to thieving in order to survive, and eventually dawned a cat-themed costume, becoming the criminal Catwoman. Her exploits took her into conflict with Batman, resulting in a game of cat-and-mouse between the two. While there is also hints of a romantic attraction between the two, Selina wild and untamed nature keeps them from ever being truly together. Only time will tell if Selina will decide to tame herself and join Batman forever.
