Jean-Paul Valley Jr. is the clone and son of Jean-Paul Ludovic Valley, the previous Azrael, the enforcer of the sacred Order of St. Dumas whom his son is predetermined to succeed him as. Disappearing with his father and hiding from the Order, Jean-Paul would attend college before it abruptly ended when his father apparently bleed out in his dormitory, passing on the knowlege of the Order and Azrael to him. Instructed to travel to the Alps, Jean-Paul found the Order and eventually became Azrael, serving as the St. Dumas' "Angel of Death", sworn to protect them as their personal assassin.
