Now when she was Batgirl, Barbara used to be a cheerful, optimistic, bubbly, upbeat and lovable person. Bruce even mentions in his inner-monologue, again in Batman: Hush while he's beating up the Joker, that even though Barbara knew the risks, she still used to love the job of being Batgirl more than Dick loved being Robin and he indulged her, because of his relationship with her father, Jim Gordon. But after being paralyzed by the Joker, she changed. Especially when she became Oracle. Now, she has a no nonsense attitude, is very serious and stubborn, but can also be playful at times when she's with her boyfriend Dick, is intelligent and very helpful with providing Batman with information.
