Wanda Jackson, born in 1937 in Maud, Oklahoma, is a retired American singer and songwriter who found success in rockabilly, country, and gospel. Known as the “Queen of Rockabilly”, Jackson was one of the first women to record rock 'n' roll in the 1950s. Inspired by Elvis Presley, she crossed over from country to rockabilly with hits like “Let's Have a Party” (1960) and “Right or Wrong” (1961).
