Alfred Pennyworth was a secret service agent for the British government. Under mysterious circumstances he quits and becomes protection for hire. While he was visiting Britain, Thomas Wayne hired him to be his temporary body guard during that time they become great friends. He was married but she passed away after a 15 year long marriage leaving him alone. He gets an injury retiring him so his old friend Thomas Wayne hires him as his “butler”. When Thomas and Martha Wayne are killed, he becomes the adoptive father of Bruce Wayne. When Bruce entered his 20s Alfred got remarried for 7 years, then he heard about the Batman and knew that it must be Bruce, so he moves back to help
