Four strangers — all Black adults adopted into wealthy non-Black families — meet at a conference on transnational adoption in Geneva. Over the course of twelve months, we follow them home: to Norway's fjords, Korea's chaebols, India's monsoon season, and Brazil's Carnaval. Each story is its own world. Each love is its own language. And once a year, they return to Geneva to share what they've discovered about who they are.
