With the help of his girlfriend Janet Van Dyne and her father, Vernon, he starts Pym Technologies to develop groundbreaking inventions like the Pym Particle and an ant-controlling helmet. However, their ambitious backer, Elihas Starr, steals Hank’s work, and when Vernon discovers this, Starr murders him. Devastated, Janet convinces Hank to use his technology for justice. Donning a suit powered by the Pym Particle and the ant-controlling helmet, Hank becomes Ant-Man and embarks on a revenge-fueled mission to stop Starr.
