Knuckles the Echidna (ナックルズ・ザ・エキドゥナ Nakkurusu za Ekiduna) is the tritagonist in Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie. He is an anthropomorphic echidna and is known as a lonely traveler and treasure hunter. He is also a long-time friend of Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails.
