Lonely and nerdy high school student Peter Parker is bitten by a radioactive spider during a school trip to the OSCORP science centre. Following the death of his beloved uncle, Peter uses his newfound powers for good, becoming 'Spider-Man'. The mysterious Chameleon causes an explosion which puts Norman Osborn into a coma, and fuses metal arms to scientist Otto Octavius. Peter comforts Norman's son, Harry, and the two become friends.
Octavius later wakes from his coma and blames Norman for the accident. Peter fights a battle on two fronts, going against both Chameleon and Octavius at the same time.
