Following the events of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker struggles to balance college, work, and his duties as Spider-Man while still mourning Gwen Stacy. Meanwhile, Russian oligarch Sergei Kravinoff—a legendary hunter bored with corporate life—faces a hostile takeover from his rival Anatole Lubomir. Seeking purpose, Kraven sets his sights on Spider-Man as the ultimate prey, stalking him through New York with his mystical companion Calypso and his loyal tracker Maarifa. As Kraven's hunt escalates, Peter finds an unlikely and flirtatious ally in cat burglar Felicia Hardy (Black Cat), who aids him after being caught in the crossfire. The conflict culminates in brutal rooftop battles across Manhattan, culminating in Kraven's capture but not before he is transformed by Calypso's dark magic, swearing vengeance. Peter is left questioning whether he can protect those he loves without losing himself.
