Following the death of Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker has carried on as Spider-Man for seven years. When a ship of extraterrestrial origin crash lands in the middle of Manhattan, Parker is bonded to a mysterious alien life form called a symbiote, giving him new strength and speed, but also corrupting his emotions. Parker must battle with his new personality, while balancing his relationship with girlfriend Mary Jane Watson, all while a new threat continues to grow.
