TASM3 will now have Doc Ock as the main villain and villains are kingpin and carnage and chameleon and sandman but unfortunately it was cancelled due to a combination of The Amazing Spider-Man 2's disappointing box office/critical reception, Sony's ambitious but faltering plans for a shared universe, the fallout from the 2014 Sony hack (including behind-the-scenes friction with Andrew Garfield), and ultimately, the landmark 2015 deal to bring Spider-Man into the MCU with Tom Holland.
