Tapp leads a mission to Russia (aided by Sergei), as Vasily seems to be involved, but the true extent of his involvement leads to a number of unexpected turns. Tommy is, meanwhile, investigating "Rays of Hope", a cult whose mysterious leader, known only as "The Light", can allegedly allow people to speak with their departed loved ones. The two stories slowly start connecting, as both the Rays, and the Masks, start threatening the new mayor of L.A. Tommy ends up joining the cult, hoping to confront "The Light", while simultaneously searching for Spenser Agnew, a young man whom Olly is interested in keeping safe from the cult. Tapp and Tracy, meanwhile, enlist the help of Ludwig Plum, an eccentric scientist who is familiar with the work of Dr. Zoltan Ahgren, Vasily's newest ally. Shocking betrayals, twists, and reveals conclude the main storyline of Ollyverse, as Tommy faces the greatest challenge to his morality yet, Vasily is forced to reassess his own priorities and motivations, and an unexpected ally ends up resolving the situation, showing everyone, even Olly himself, the values that truly matter.
