But that peace is disrupted by the arrival of an evil human scientist named Dr. Robotnik, who plans to harness the sacred Chaos Emerald to get revenge on the company he used to work for on Earth, and government firm named G.U.N.N. This catches the attention of super-speedy renegade Sonic, a blue hedgehog that sets out to stop him with help from some friends he makes along the way.
