Derek is the big brother of the Squad even though they're the same age, except for Codie. He is the tallest and strongest of them and has a high threshold for pain. His parents were on Sheldon's old team and died shortly after he was born. Sheldon and Marty took him in and raised him as their own. This traumatic experience made him a bit hard and tough. But he's a nice guy when he needs to be. He loves his family and fights for them and would even die for them. He does have a bit of an anger issue though. And when he gets angry, he sees red. But the action keeps him happy and alive. His character is based on Raphael(TMNT), Arthur Curry(Aquaman DCEU), and Wolverine(X-Men).
