Rodney Arnold Grant (born March 9, 1959) is an American actor. Grant, a Native American, was raised on the Omaha Reservation in Macy, Nebraska. He is probably most well known for his role as "Wind In His Hair" in the 1990 film Dances with Wolves. He has also appeared in other films such as John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars, Wild Wild West, Geronimo: An American Legend, White Wolves III: Cry of the White Wolf, Wagons East!, The Substitute, War Party, and Powwow Highway. In television, he played the part of "Chingachgook" in the series Hawkeye that aired in 1994-1995. He has also had guest roles in a television series such as Due South, Two, and the Stargate SG-1 episode "Spirits". He also portrayed the famous warrior Crazy Horse in the 1991 television movie Son of the Morning Star. Grant is a member of the Omaha tribe of Nebraska. He has been very active in youth activities and had served on the Native American Advisory Board for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Three Civil War veterans, Walt, Laurence and Garth, reunite after 20 years under unfortunate circumstances - to find and rescue Walter's son Luke from kidnappers. The kidnapping of his son brings Aging Texas cattleman Walt Fitzgerald back to his friends to join forces in the search after 20 years. 50 years ago Walter was hardened by the heat of battle, but he succumbed to the sparks in the eyes of a beautiful girl, but now they live separated. But before he left the ranch, he met his wife there, they run into each other when Kate returns to the Red River ranch after a long separation to spend some time with their daughter Gina, Luke's wife Claire and their son Walt jr. who are affected by that past event. Walter teamed up with his old companions Laurence and Garth and they track the kidnappers. The kidnappers are gang of civilizated Native Americans, they are led by Moses "Big Bear" Johnson and they call themselves Takoskowa and reason of kidnap is ransom. They want 100 000 dollars or the Red River ranch with the whole almost neverending land.
