As with Ozymandias, Dr. Manhattan retains much of his history with the main difference that here Jon kills Adrian Veidt, but upon realizing that his existence threatens humanity, Jon decides to change the timeline, preventing him from suffering the accident that turned him into Dr. Manhattan, ending the film with Laurie, Dan and Walter in our world as fugitives.
