John Connor, leader of the Resistance, must destroy Skynet and end the War against the Machines. In 2027 Skynet built its latest invention, a time machine. In 2029 the machine activated and sent a T-800 back to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor (John’s Mother) and prevent John Connors birth.
