Stephen Lang (born July 11, 1952) is an American actor and playwright. He started in theatre on Broadway but is well known for his film portrayals of Stonewall Jackson in Gods and Generals (2003), George Pickett in Gettysburg (1993), and his 2009 roles as Colonel Miles Quaritch in Avatar and as Texan lawman Charles Winstead in Public Enemies. Lang was the co-artistic director (along with Carlin Glynn and Lee Grant) of the famed Actor's Studio at its headquarters in New York City from 2004 to 2006. Story 1: Single mother, Amber Byrnes brings along her daughter, Nicole to her hometown of Denver to stay with her father, Bob, where she meets an old flame, Dave Tyrell. Story 2: Dave's best friend, Clay Carson, a widowed father, comes along for the holidays with his daughter, Jill. Story 3: A young boy, Jordan Howell has a strained relationship with his workaholic father, Tim, who has hardly any time for his son, since his wife passed away. Story 4: Divorced mother, Dana Roberts brings along her daughter, Vanessa, where she later befriends Amber, and along the way, she meets her old flame, Jesse Lane. Story 5: High school sweethearts, Charlie Presley and Juliette Mathis come to terms with the fact that Juliette is pregnant with Charlie's child. Story 6: Divorced father, Martin Rydell befriends Amber, and introduces his son, George to Nicole.
