He takes shelter in a nearby suburban home, where he finds a little girl named Clementine, who has been hiding from the zombies after her parents left for Savannah some time before the apocalypse. Lee offers to look after Clementine and help her find her parents. The two meet Kenny, his wife Katjaa, and their son Kenny "Duck" Jr at the farm of Hershel Greene but all five are evicted after Hershel loses his son to a walker, so they travel to Lee's hometown, Macon, and soon meet additional survivors hiding in the pharmacy owned by Lee's parents.
