Fan Casting Splinter in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Warriors

A skilled ninja from Japan, Hamato Yoshi was one of the last members of the famed Hamato Clan. When he fell in love with Tang Shen, a rival, Oroku Saki, the current leader of a rival clan, the Foot Clan, seeking to kill Tang Shen for choosing Yoshi, leading Yoshi to flee to America. There, he was exposed to mutagen and took on the appearance of a rat, as well as raising the baby turtles he took as pets as his sons. Affectionately, he is named Splinter for his skills in breaking wood, teaching his sons Ninjutsu to protect them.
