Years ago, Dick Grayson, Roy Harper, and Wally West met by chance. They teamed up and defeated Doctor Light, sending him to prison. Since then, the three have had regular meetings. In the present day, with the formation of the League and this new era of heroes, Dick has the idea of a new team, with younger heroes inspired by the Justice League. He arranges to meet with Wally and Roy. At the same time, Dick meets Donna Troy, Wonder Woman's apprentice, while Wally meets Garth, Aquaman's apprentice.
