Bruce Wayne’s parents were murdered when he was a child, he sought out training from the best of the best all around the world, including but not limited to Ra’s Al Ghūl, Wildcat, Richard Dragon, and Harvey Harris. When he eventually returned to Gotham City, he searched tirelessly for the man who killed his parents- Joe Chill. When he found Chill, he was unable to control himself and beat the criminal to death, upon realizing what he had done, Bruce vowed to never take another life. Years later after he has become a legend amongst Gotham and its citizens Bruce Dick Grayson and takes him in seeing himself in the boy, he then trains him to become his sidekick Robin.
