DJ Qualls is an actor best known for his roles in the films Road Trip, The New Guy, and Hustle & Flow. He has also made appearances on the TV series Supernatural, Lost, Scrubs, and The Big Bang Theory, and he was cast in a regular role as Citizen Z on the Syfy series Z Nation. He overcame a diagnosis of Hodgkin\'s lymphoma, a type of cancer, at age fourteen. In January 2020, Qualls came out as gay on his Twitter account, stating he was \"tired of worrying about what it would do to my career,\" after announcing it at a Jim Jefferies show in San Diego. Prior to this, he had referenced his sexuality on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in the early 2010s. He got engaged to his Supernatural costar Ty Olsson in May 2024.

Tales of Symphonia takes place in a fictional world called Sylvarant and follows Lloyd Irving. Lloyd accompanies his childhood friend, Colette Brunel, who is destined to go on a journey to save their world. As their journey progresses, they learn that saving Sylvarant endangers Tethe'alla, a world parallel to their own. This incredible story would benefit so much from being adapted into a tv series, and thus made accessible to more audiences who don’t play video games. A guy can dream! Here’s my fancast. Anyone else is more than welcome to chip in. Given that this game’s story places heavy emphasis on accepting others and embracing their differences, I think it’s only fitting to have a diverse cast, representing different ethnicities and sexual orientations. Anyone who complains about “woke casting” clearly misses the point of the game.
