The protagonist of the story. Zhihan is an eccentric second-grader whose answer to everything is to run and/or fight it, but despite her eccentricities, she's a very caring girl at heart. She lives in a small village with her family and friends Sule and Bingbing, but that little world of hers grows a bit bigger when the Progenitors come to Earth. Notably, she does not speak until the very end of the story.
