A ingenious scientist with an I.Q. of 300. Eggman hates humanity (and Sonic) and wishes to make them his slaves, so his robots can inhabit the earth. He recently stumbles across a floating island, filled with echidnas. Using their gullible nature to his advantage, he says Sonic is a thief and that he came to warn them about him. He gains their trust, and says he can help them with intruders, but he doesn't fill his end of the bargain. He eventually steals the Master Emerald to power a giant robot of his likeness. He his eventually defeated by Team Sonic.
