Jor-El tells him that Krypton wasn't destroyed naturally. An A.I. , Brainiac that he created betrayed him, and told him he will destroy worlds. After Clark learns of this story, he leaves. He goes back to Kansas to give his parents a visit, talks to them, then goes back home. When he goes back there is news of something from space. He goes to investigate and sees it's a robtic drone. He has a small confrontation with it but he destroys it. The next day he goes to work, but after, he goes to ask why he talked about brainiac now. He says it's because there's an invasion coming . Meanwhile, Lois goes to investigate the drone, and drags Jimmy along with her. Finally, Brainiac starts invading Metropolis. Clark starts fighting off the drones. Supergirl joins to help him. Clark gets to the ship & confronts Brainiac. They fight, but Brainiac is wining. He says Clark is more human, and says it's his weakness. Clark finally defeats him, saying that his humanity gives him strength.Lex uses his battle suit and reluctantly helps. In the end Pa kent has a heart attack and dies, leaving Clark in his darkest place. They have his funeral, and Clark goes back home, trying to give hope to others.
