Years after leaving Smallville following the deaths of his adoptive parents, Clark Kent moves to Metropolis and becomes a reporter at the Daily Planet, where he befriends Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen and reconnects with his childhood friend, Lex Luthor. As Clark embraces his role as Superman, his growing fame draws the attention of the U.S. military and Maxwell Jensen, the corrupt CEO of JensenCorp.
When Lois uncovers evidence of Jensen's corruption, he targets both the Daily Planet and Superman. After his crimes are exposed, Jensen is transformed into the monstrous Parasite and unleashes a destructive rampage across Metropolis, forcing Superman into a final battle to stop him.
In the aftermath, it is revealed that Lex secretly engineered Jensen's downfall and rise as Parasite, allowing him to take control of JensenCorp and rebrand it as LexCorp.
