As he grew up, Kal-El, who was renamed Clark, manifested abilities beyond human understanding, which made his Earthling father Jonathan reveal that he is actually an alien, which leaves Clark confused and insecure. Clark, in search of the truth, ends up following the coordinates left by the ship in which he came to earth and finds the fortress of solitude, where he finds his space father Jor-El, who had transferred his and Kal's mother Lara consciences to the ship hidden on the fortress.
